Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be painted is clean and free from dirt, dust and grease.
- Ensure to cover any surfaces you do not wish to get paint on including carpets and furniture.
- Ensure there are no areas of loose paint or plaster by giving these areas a sand.
- Wipe the area you’re going to paint with a damp cloth to make sure it’s clean and free from dust.
Application
We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Make sure your room is above 10°C and open a window to keep it ventilated.
- Ensure to stir the paint well to ensure consistency.
- Apply using either a roller or brush, do not over spread.
- One coat should be sufficient when preparing new plaster however when making a dramatic colour change we recommend apply a second coat after 4 hours.
- The surface will be ready to paint with your chosen topcoat after 4 hours.
